The visitors were quick on the counter and caused several problems for the home side but the first half was a quiet, cagey affair, with chances few and far between. Avelino Vieira headed over and ten minutes before half time Jonathan Flatt was forced to make a fine diving save to keep out a header from his own defender, Sam Whittall.

Six minutes before the interval Orrin Pendley saw his header easily saved by Lewis Moat and on the stroke of half time it was the visitors who were ahead thanks to a superb counter-attack.

The home side`s corner was cleared to Dion Sembie-Ferris who raced halfway down the pitch and set up Josh Moreman to sidefoot Sports into the lead.

The visitors began the second half full of confidence but Moreman shot well wide from a free-kick and as the home side tried to get back into the game Eesa Sawyers first time shot was saved by Moat.

At the other end another counter attack led by Moreman saw him find Sani whose shot was easily saved by Flatt

As the visitors pressed for a second good work from Ferrie saw his dangerous low shot cleared for a corner

Levi Rowley was then introduced as a substitute and he could have made an immediate impact when Danny Waldron pulled the back to him on the edge of the penalty area but he placed his shot wide of the far post.

The game was now beginning to open up and Vieira headed a cross over the top and as Rushall searched for an equaliser Rowley`s effort was high and wide. The home side were now having a good spell and they created another excellent opportunity when good play from Waldron and Rowley set up an opportunity for young substitute Jakob Burroughs but he blazed his shot well wide.

In the fourth minute of stoppage time the visitors sealed the game when substitute James Stevenson fired home from the edge of the area to keep Sports in third position.
