It was the visitors who drew first blood when they went ahead in the second minute.

Good inter-play between Kieren Westwood and Will Grocott saw them play in Michael Taylor, who beat the offside trap, and went on to fire past the advancing Joe Slinn in the Pics goal.

Stratford had made an enterprising start to the game but they suffered a blow on eight minutes when Danny Waldron out-jumped goalkeeper Ross Etheridge, to head home Ashley Sammons` corner.

Both sides were playing good football but it was the visitors who created two great opportunities when Jordan Williams saw his header cleared off the line and moments later Sam Whittall sliced a clearance to Taylor who wasted the chance by firing high and wide.

The home side were the next to threaten when Waldron headed down into the path of Ashley Sammons who saw his first time flick blocked by Etheridge and then on the stroke of half time Richard Brodie did well to create an opportunity but his shot was saved low down.

Rushall were caught cold at the beginning of the second half when the visitors went ahead for the second time when Grocott`s free kick was headed back across goal by Jordan Williams for Lewis Wilson to head home from close range.

The goal boosted the visitors and Wilson saw his shot saved by Slinn but at the other end the home side levelled when Etheridge, in the visitors goal, couldn`t keep out Sammons twenty five yard shot and the ball trickled over the line.

The home side then enjoyed their best spell of the game and Sammons went close with another shot that flew inches past the post, Brodie saw his effort saved and Ahenkorah`s low cross flashed across the six yard box as Rushall searched for a winner.
