The second-bottom Pics and fourth-bottom Yeltz are separated by just two points towards the foot of the Evo-Stik League Premier Division.

But it is the hosts who enter the match in better form having won their last two matches under new manager Liam McDonald.

They beat Nantwich Town 2-0 to progress in the FA Trophy last weekend and followed it up with an excellent 2-1 away win at Buxton on Tuesday evening.

Recent arrival Richard Brodie scored in both games, including a late stunner to secure all three points in the last game. “The players are starting to get used to the way I work,” said McDonald. “This has been reflected in our last two performances, which have seen us pick up two good wins.

“I am happy with the way things are going, but at the same time I’m not getting too carried away. It’s another important game for us on Saturday and there is still a lot of work for us to do.”

The Yeltz, meanwhile, are winless in three – exiting the Birmingham Senior Cup and the FA Trophy before Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat to Coalville Town in the league.

Stafford Rangers head to Whitby Town aiming to extend their hot streak.

A 6-0 FA Trophy trouncing of St Ives Town last weekend was followed by a 1-0 win against Barwell in the Evo-Stik Premier on Tuesday night.

“It’s all about consistency,” said boss Neil Kitching.

“You ask anybody in this league, if you take any team lightly then you will get beat.

“The sides at the top are the consistent ones. We’ve shown a little bit of consistency over the past month or so, creeping up the table to the middle chasing pack. It’s about keeping that up now.”

Hednesford Town, in 15th, go to Barwell, a side they are level on points with, while Stourbridge will hope to build on Tuesday’s 4-0 victory at Sutton Coldfield Town when they host Witton Albion.

In Division One South, 18th-placed Chasetown visit Market Drayton Town in Division One South hoping to end a four-match unbeaten run and leapfrog their rivals.
