Heavy rain greeted the teams on their arrival and they both took time to settle down.

The first shot of any note came from the home side but Andre Landell`s effort was high and wide.

It was the Pics though who put the best move together of the half so far when good inter-play between Alex Lingard and new signing Tristian Dunkley ended with Dunkley`s shot being headed clear by Jack Higgin for a corner.

From the resulting kick though AJ Adelekan headed home a cross from Kristian Scott.

The home side were now enjoying a good spell of pressure and another good break saw Majed Osman lay a pass into the path of Danny Waldron but his attempted cut-back was well read by James McCarten and a minute later Scott rounded off another excellent move with a shot that was well saved by Tony McMillan in the visitors goal.

Against the run of play the visitors were back on level terms when home goalkeeper Jonathan Brown brought down Jamie McDonald and up stepped Sean Williams to convert the spot-kick sending Brown the wrong way.

Play was switching from end to end and Joe Hull put his header straight at McMillan and the half ended with visitors forcing several corners which eventually were cleared by the home defence.

The nightmare hit home for the hosts on the hour mark when the impressive Adelekan, for bringing down Barrigan, and denying a goal-scoring opportunity.

The visitors though wasted the free kick from the edge of the box but twelve minutes from time they scored what proved to be the winner.

Shaun Beeley was allowed plenty of time and room before driving a low shot into the bottom corner of the net to give the visitors all three points
