Gardiner was Harriers’ head of coaching over the last two seasons in National League North.

He worked alongside John Eustace, who left as boss last month to become assistant to Steve McClaren at Loftus Road.

Also leaving the Aggborough outfit is coach Kevin Phillips.

He is joining an unnamed League Two club.

Harriers chairman Coin Gordon said: “These are two big losses for us but I’m absolutely delighted for both Gards and Kev who have worked tremendously hard for us over the last couple of years, and Kev even prior to that.

“They leave with our blessing to take up two fantastic jobs, and it is once again proof of the model that we work with. We wish them all the very best.”
