John Eustace departs Kidderminster Harriers for QPR
Kidderminster Harriers have confirmed that manager John Eustace has left the club, joining Steve McClaren at Championship side QPR.
The 38-year-old has signed up at Loftus Road as the former England boss's assistant manager.
Joining Harriers over two years ago, Eustace guided the club to two successive play-off appearances in the National League North.
Colin Gordon, Kidderminster chairman admitted it was no surprise to see Eustace depart for a bigger club.
"I said when we appointed John that he was a remarkable coach who would go on to have a terrific career in this side of the game so the fact he has been sounded out by such an established manager and a huge club is no surprise." he said, via the Harriers club website.
“Steve McClaren knew John well as a player but believes he’s also one of the finest young coaches he’s come across and was determined that he be part of things at QPR – quite simply it’s the ethos of this club that we won’t stand between hard-working, ambitious people and those kinds of opportunities.”
Kidderminster plan on appointing Eustace's replacement 'shortly', having actively identified targets to fill his shoes at Aggborough.
