Kidderminster Harriers are poised to welcome back striker Joe Ironside for tomorrow’s FA Cup tie at Deeping Rangers.

The 23-year-old England C hitman has endured a frustrating start to the season due to injury but is expected to be involved, as John Eustace’s men look to avoid a potential banana skin in Deeping, who play three levels below Harriers in the United Counties League.

Ironside came off the bench to score in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Tamworth and Eustace said: “It’s been a really frustrating time for Joe with his injuries and he hasn’t been 100 per cent fit. “We left him out last Saturday to try and get him close to full fitness and to give him half an hour or so on Tuesday night was great. You can see the difference he makes as he’s a top striker at this level.”

Harriers will be without midfielder Dan Bradley through injury, for a second qualifying round tie which kicks off at 12.30pm and will be broadcast live on the BBC’s website.

Stafford Rangers boss Neil Kitching meanwhile reckons the pressure is all on Tamworth as they look to stun their county rivals.

The visiting Lambs play a division above Boro in National League North.

Kitching said: “We have a lot of players who believe they can go on to play at the level above, and it is about showing some quality.

“All the pressure is on Tamworth, they are expected to win the game and there is no pressure on us.

“The fans have been fantastic, they keep on turning out in high numbers, and they deserve something to shout about.”

Stourbridge aim to take another step toward a sixth first-round proper appearance in nine seasons when they host Southern League St Ives Town at the War Memorial on Sunday.

Rushall Olympic could hand full debuts to new signings Alex Lingard and Raekwon Smith when they travel to AFC Mansfield.

Chasetown will meanwhile be aiming to pull off a shock at Buxton. The hosts currently sit seventh in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division.
