John Eustace fielded a number of trialists in the game.

Harriers, managed by former Rams midfielder John Eustace, fielded an unnamed trailist goalkeeper in their starting line-up which also included new signings Cieran Keane and Liam Daly as well as the return of former loan winger Manny Sonupe.

There were also several trialists among the substitutes.

Watched by a crowd of 1,078, including 488 travelling Derby supporters, Gary Rowett’s Championship side took the lead after eight minutes.

Experienced striker David Nugent was the man on target as he fired home from just inside the area.

The visitors increased their lead on 17 minutes when Craig Bryson scored from close range after calmly rounding the goalkeeper.

Derby continued to dominate proceedings and made it 3-0 on the half-hour mark with a sweetly struck first-time shot from Chris Martin following a deep pin-point cross by Marcus Olsson.

The Rams ran the changes at half-time and fielded a completely difference line-up for the second half which started with Kidderminster also making wholesale changes featuring the various trialists.

But it was the visitors who remained in charge and they wrapped up the scoring with a fourth goal in the 71st minute courtesy of a close range header from much-travelled front-runner Darren Bent.
