The move, which sees the Senegalese midfielder step up three divisions, is stated to be worth 'up to £50,000 originally' before any potential add ons and incentives.

The youngster has signed a two-year deal with the option of a third year.

Fane has starred since arriving at Aggborough at the mid-point of last season, making 20 appearances and becoming a firm fans' favourite.

Been as interest from several Football League parties became clear, it was unlikely that boss John Eustace would be able to keep hold of him.

In a big move for the club that was able to earn them compensation from the transfer, Fane agreed terms on an 18-month contract at Aggborough in February.

The Paris-born 22-year-old had impressed on a number of occasions as a trialist for Oldham this summer.

Harriers chairman Colin Gordon said:"We're naturally sorry to lose a player of Ousmane's talent but with Oldham's interest it was quite clear that he himself saw his future as being away from Kidderminster.

"That being the case, we've agreed a deal that suits the club for him to move on, and our focus now switches immediately back to the squad here and focusing on Saturday's first game of the league season."
