Harriers take Dominic Knowles on loan
Kidderminster Harriers have signed Burton striker Dominic Knowles on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has scored four goals in 48 games for the Brewers since joining in 2013.
A product of Burnley's youth team, he has also had spells at Gainsborough Trinity and Harrogate Town in Conference North.
Knowles said: "I'm really pleased to be coming on loan to Kidderminster; I wasn't getting much game time at Burton Albion so I'm looking forward to playing some football and scoring some goals here.
"I was introduced to the lads earlier this week and have been training with them - they seem like a really good bunch with some good players in the squad too.
"The Burton manager told me about Kidderminster's interest at the end of last week and I was really keen to come here.
"As a player, I always work hard and my hold-up play is good. I see it as my job to score goals and that's what I'm here to do.
"I know Kidderminster are aiming for a play-off spot and I'll be 100% committed to helping them get one - that's my target while I'm here."
Manager Gary Whild believes Knowles can offer Harriers a different presence up front and revealed he initially eyed the striker as an option for his side last season.
"Dominic was a prolific goalscorer at Harrogate Town, and has had a good goal ratio since moving to Burton in terms of the games he has started," Whild said.
"He's been in and around their team and came off the bench at York last week.
"In terms of the chances we've been creating, he will be a useful lad to have on board, and he offers another option for us as an 18-yard-box finisher.
"He's hard-working and financially he's in the right bracket too.
"As is well-known, we need to start converting some of our chances, so hopefully Dominic can be somebody who might be able to do that for us.
"I've known about him for a while - when I came back in as manager last season Burton wanted to keep him because he was scoring goals for them.
"It's likely he will be involved against Eastleigh on Saturday."
