The 22-year-old, who has spent the past four seasons with the Pics, has signed a one-year deal at Aggborough.

Obeng, who was born in Ghana, scored 17 times last season in the Evo-Stik Premier Division and is capable of playing on either wing.

Harriers boss Gary Whild is said to have been a long time admirer and the clubs are set to discuss a compensation package following the move.

A delighted Obeng said: "I have been waiting for this day since I started playing football.

"I'm really excited about getting the opportunity because I have actually dreamt about playing full-time football; it's something I've wanted since the day I first kicked a ball.

"I knew I'd be happy if I could just get this opportunity so today I have just been smiling all the way here."
