Kidderminster Harriers have made their first signing of the summer after snapping up striker Craig Reid.

The 28-year-old has signed a two-year deal at Aggborough having left League One Stevenage.

Reid made his mark on non-league football during a spell at Newport County a few seasons ago that saw him notch 62 goals in 106 games for the Welsh outfit.

Leaving County to join Stevenage for the first time in January 2011 for a club record fee, he scored on nine occasions to help Boro clinch promotion to League One before going on to score 12 times in a struggling Aldershot side at the foot of League Two.

Last summer he moved to Southend United but after limited first-team opportunities under Phil Brown, he returned to Stevenage in a bid to help them avoid the drop in League One.

As a free agent he's now opted to return to the top-tier of non-league football for the first time since that red-hot spell with Newport – as boss Gary Whild's first new signing there will be plenty at Aggborough hoping the 28-year-old can continue where he left off.
