Break 'blessing in disguise' as Kidderminster Harriers prepare for Lincoln City

Andy Thorn says he hasn't been flustered as Kidderminster Harriers enforced break has seen them slide down the Skrill Conference table.

Harriers are down to ninth after a fortnight out of action but the manager insists he is unbothered by the four point gap between his side and the top five.

"There's nothing you can do about other teams and, to be fair, I haven't paid too much attention to the other results," he said.

"I have focused more on our results and it is an important period for us where we've been getting over to the players what we want, what's required to win matches and how we want to do it.

"It's about what we do and as long as we keep picking points up, we'll be fine.

"I know where I want us to be. We're going to keep on the front foot and keep on moving - we have competition for places and everyone knows they need to be doing the rights things."

Thorn actually believes the break has been a blessing in disguise as it has allowed him to work more with the players, after any hopes of a gentle introduction to life at Aggborough were hijacked by the FA Cup run.

It's also allowed players to recover from any knocks and the manager expects to travel to Lincoln City tomorrow with a fully fit squad to choose from.

The hosts are down in 16th but still harbour outside hopes of a play-off spot. For Harriers, three points would be most welcome.

"It's about being positive," added Thorn. "We know what we have got to do and we know how we are going to go about it.

"If you look at the table it's all bunched up and there are teams just above us who have played a few games more. We know what we have to do and we are just focusing on us, we want to win as many games as we can."
