Gary Whild remains at Kidderminster Harriers

Kidderminster Harriers today confirmed assistant boss Gary Whild will remain at the club – though he is stepping back from his day to day role.

Whild was widely expected to depart Aggborough following the sacking of Steve Burr earlier this week and the arrival of Andy Thorn as manager – who has appointed former Wrexham player Craig Knight as his first-team coach.

But after holding "amicable" talks with Thorn, Whild will be staying on, albeit with much reduced responsibilities.

The club have also confirmed Academy manager Steve Guinan will remain as first-team coach alongside Knight.

Chairman Mark Serrell added: "If I am honest it was always in my mind that Gary would remain in the thick of things in that regard but we fully respect the decision he has made and we are very pleased to still have him with us moving forward."
