Extra-time winner sees Kidderminster Harriers progress in FA Cup
Kidderminster Harriers had to fight every inch of the way to overcome Bradford Park Avenue with extra-time goals from Amari Morgan-Smith and Marvin Johnson in their FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay at Aggborough.
Harriers produced a poor performance against their Skrill North visitors who were unlucky not to cause an upset, particularly after hitting the woodwork twice.
Steve Burr's side, who were forced into a replay after a 1-1 draw at Horsfall Stadium on Sunday, now face a home first round proper tie against Skrill South high-riders Sutton United on Saturday, November 9.
Harriers struggled to get into their stride throughout the first half in which the nearest they went to scoring was when a fierce drive by Joe Lolley was tipped over the bar.
Burr replaced Lolley with Johnson at the start of extra-time and, within a couple of minutes of his introduction, his cross was turned into the net by Morgan-Smith.
Johnson then capped a dramatic appearance by making it 2-0 in the 103rd minute by turning quickly to beat Lamb with a sweetly struck first time shot.
Harriers were then subjected to a tense spell after Bradford scored through substitute Chib Chilaka on 107 minutes.
Boss Burr said: "It was a tough game. I was disappointed that we, being a full-time side, didn't look as strong as them."
