Harriers must quickly replace Jamille Matt

Kidderminster Harriers must pick an immediate replacement for striker Jamille Matt to play in their Blue Square Premier game at Mansfield.

Barring a huge U-turn, Matt will complete a big-money move to Football League club Fleetwood today after passing a medical at the Highbury Stadium.

That leaves an immediate void in the Harriers team for tomorrow's trip to Field Mill, as they are missing the league's Player of the Month for December.

Anthony Malbon could be recalled to partner Ryan Rowe although Marvin Johnson is also a contender after returning from injury against Barrow last weekend.

Mansfield could also be big hitters in the transfer stakes this month through the revenue of last weekend's FA Cup tie at home to Liverpool, which they lost 2-1.

The Stags get back to the bread and butter of league football tomorrow but Harriers boss Steve Burr is not expecting a 'cup hangover' from their hosts.

He said: "It will be a tough game, they are obviously still going to be on a high from playing in the FA Cup and that just shows you how football can change.

"One week they are playing Liverpool and, the next week, they are playing Kidderminster Harriers! But you don't worry too much about that.

"A hangover has happened with teams of mine before, where after a game like that, this week their phone isn't ringing as much it does bring you down again.

"It can have an effect on the performance but they have got a big enough squad there to cope and we know that we have got play well to get the three points.

"I'm confident we can go and do that, with the way we have been playing."
