Kidderminster Harriers could hand a debut to Adam Watkins in the visit of Macclesfield to Aggborough after signing the midfielder on a month's loan.

Ahead of tomorrow's game, Watkins has been borrowed from Blue Square Premier rivals Luton until after the home game with Gateshead on October 27.

His attacking mind is seen as the ideal foil between midfield and attack and, with that in mind, he could replace Callum Gittings in the centre tomorrow.

Harriers were short of midfielders with Jack Byrne and Kyle Storer injured and Watkins, 21, joins Keith Briggs and James Vincent as fit for selection.

Ryan Rowe appears to have played his way into a starting spot after scoring a hat-trick as a substitute in Harriers' 3-1 win at Cambridge United.

Richard Peniket - the striker Rowe replaced on Tuesday - is carrying a groin strain anwyay, so a place could open up alongside Anthony Malbon.

Right-back Lee Vaughan should also be passed fit to play despite taking a knock to the groin in midweek, as Harriers picked up their first victory.

Steve Burr's men will now look to build on the maiden three points against a club where he is still held in high esteem from his playing days.

But assistant boss Gary Whild today vowed Harriers will be all business as they look to get their season kick-started.

He said: "We want to win our home games and they have had a good start after being relegated but they will know this league is tough.

"Hopefully, we can make sure it is tough for them here. There are no easy games and teams are taking points off each other.

"Macclesfield have shown they are more than capable of being up there at the end of the season.

"But there are a lot of clubs looking to do something similar."
