Kidderminster Harriers strikers Anthony Malbon and Steve Guinan are likely to miss their Blue Square Premier season opener at Lincoln.

Guinan twisted his ankle in last weekend's Worcestershire Senior Cup final defeat to Stourbridge, which Malbon missed with a chest infection.

Both are set to be ruled out of the big kick-off at Sincil Bank tomorrow, with right-back Lee Vaughan suspended for the first four games of the season.

Harriers also went to Lincoln in their first away game of last season, their second fixture, and won 1-0 through Callum Gittings' first-half strike.

Five new signings will be in the squad for the trip in Exodus Geohaghon, Ryan Austin, Cheyenne Dunkley, Danny Pilkington and Ricky Shakes.

Former captain Keith Briggs and back-up goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan also travel after rejoining the club this summer but Briggs won't be skipper.

Geohaghon has been handed the armband and will lead the side in his league debut and boss Steve Burr hopes it will bring out the best in him.

The 27-year-old has played as high as the Championship for Peterborough and stood out at the level with Kettering from 2008 to 2010.

Burr said: "Exodus comes to us with a great deal of experience in both the Football League and at this level.

"The likes of Keith Briggs, Mike Williams and a number of others are all fantastic leaders and don't need an armband to show that.

"We just feel that the extra responsibility will be a boost for Exodus.

"I have no doubt that with it, he will really lead by example for the younger members of the squad."
