Kidderminster Harriers striker Ryan Rowe will face his former club Stourbridge for the first time in the Worcestershire Senior Cup final.

And Harriers boss Steve Burr adding having "something at stake" will give tomorrow's game at Aggborough more of a competitive edge.

Rowe was the Glassboys' star striker until Harriers forked out a five-figure fee to bring him into the full-time game in February.

It ended a long pursuit of the player from Burr, who had a number of bids turfed out before their local rivals eventually caved in.

The 24-year-old goes against his former boss Gary Hackett, who led the club to sixth in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier League without him.

Another former Stourbridge favourite, Paul McCone, and striker Justin Naisbitt are on trial with Harriers but neither will be involved.

Players have to be signed to be involved in the competition and boss Burr today admitted the game is far from a friendly.

He said: "It's a local derby and we're playing for a cup, as well, so that is going to be a good test.

"There's something at stake and that's always going to add that bit of something extra and bit of spice.

"You have two teams coming together and we will want to win the game, I'm sure Stourbridge will do as well."
