Kidderminster Harriers defender Cheyenne Dunkley will continue to wait for his debut as a strong side head to AFC Wulfrunians for a friendly.

Harriers started pre-season with a 3-2 win in a behind-closed-doors game at Albion on Saturday, before losing 2-1 at Romulus in the afternoon.

Dunkley missed both games with a toe injury and will sit it out again tonight but it's hoped he will return for Saturday's trip to Stafford Rangers.

The summer signing from Hednesford has been tipped for big things but Harriers fans will have to be patient to get a glimpse of the 20-year-old.

The supporters will be equally keen to see goalkeeper Danny Lewis back in action, who played for the first time in 10 months on Saturday.

Lewis last played in a league game at Grimsby last September before tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during training.

The 30-year-old has battled back to fitness and was eased into match fitness with game time against Albion at the Baggies' training ground.

Steve Burr's men also play at Stourport Swifts on Thursday night in what is expected to be a fringe side, including youth team and trial players.

Harriers assistant boss Gary Whild said: "There are plenty of games left and we are using each one of them.

"We want to make sure we're firing on all cylinders for the opening day on the 11th when we start at Lincoln.

"There will be ups and downs over the next few weeks, if you can call it that.

"But it's a very busy period and a great way to prepare."
