Kidderminster Harriers have snapped up the younger brother of a Premier League player for their assault on non-league's football top tier next season.

Out-of-contract winger Danny Pilkington - sibling of Norwich star and fellow wide man Anthony - has joined from Blue Square Premier rivals York.

The 22-year-old has signed a one-year contract and becomes the club's second summer capture, after Hednesford defender Cheyenne Dunkley.

Pilkington can operate on either flank and has Football League experience with Stockport County, alongside Harriers midfielder James Vincent.

His arrival means Harriers have directly replaced David Hankin, who left for Chester last month, with Marvin Johnson another option on the right.

The Blackburn-born winger also has a season of non-league experience under his belt with the Minstermen before leaving Bootham Crescent.

And Vincent revealed the lure of playing for a footballing side was a factor in his decision to move to Aggborough.

He said: "As soon as I knew Kidderminster were interested, it was the only place I wanted to come and I wanted to get it sorted as soon as I could.

"The team plays good football and keeps the ball on the ground - that's something I want to get involved in."
