Kidderminster Harriers striker Nick Wright today continued the Aggborough exodus heading to Blue Square Premier rivals Mansfield.

Last season's 17-goal top scorer signed for the Stags yesterday afternoon, less than a week after defender Luke Jones made the same trip.

Harriers boss Steve Burr had been resigned to Wright's exit, publically, since the start of the month and knew at least two clubs were interested.

The 24-year-old leaves after two years, 90 appearances and 25 goals for the club, including a 10-minute hat-trick against Newport in April.

Jones will be waiting for him at Field Mill and defensive cohort Tom Marshall is the next likely to be out of the door at Aggborough.

Marshall has been looked at by another league rival in AFC Telford and boss Steve Burr has confirmed he's fixed himself up a deal elsewhere.

Burr said: "We would like to have kept both players if we could and put offers to them.

"Luke has obviously joined Mansfield and Tom has managed to secure himself a deal that's better than what we could offer, too.

"But we thank them both for their efforts during their time with us and wish them all the best for their careers going forward."

The search for replacements continues at Harriers today and boss Burr has been busy talking to potential targets this week.

However, the manager is in no rush to be hasty with new signings with nearly two months to go until the new season begins.

He said: "We have got a lot of meetings this week and are continuing to talk to a lot of players.

"We are still at a time of the summer where everybody from players to clubs are keeping their options open."
