Kidderminster Harriers will let kids in for free when their promotion quest continues at home to Kettering in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday.
Kidderminster Harriers will let kids in for free when their promotion quest continues at home to Kettering in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday.
All under-16s will be admitted free of charge for the penultimate home league game of the season against the already-relegated Poppies.
But those wanting to attend the game are warned they must first collect a ticket from the office at Aggborough before 5pm on Friday.
It follows the club's radical season ticket pricing for under-16s which has been set at just £35 for the next campaign - a cost of £1.52 a game.
Harriers will get a foothold in the play-offs if they can see off the visitors on Saturday, as they hold fifth place by two points with three games left.
Those taking advantage of the Early Bird initiative, which runs until May 4, could even feasibly be buying a ticket for a Football League campaign.
But, for now, Harriers chairman Mark Serrell is concentrating on attracting the future faithful of the club to the ground on Saturday.
He said: "We believe that we offer fantastic, unbeatable value to our youngest supporters.
"To come through the turnstiles next season, anyone under the age of eight won't need to pay a penny.
"Those under 16 standing on the terraces are effectively able to watch from £1.50 a game - just by buying their season ticket.
"I don't think we can make a better offer than that and hope that youngsters will sign up with us.
"By way of giving them a try-before-you-buy experience, all those under 16 can come to the Kettering game completely free of charge.
"Hopefully, they will enjoy the fantastic atmosphere generated here at Aggborough and get hooked.
"These fans are the very fabric of the football club and we want them all to get involved."
