Kidderminster Harriers boss Steve Burr today admitted 'it's better late than never' after hat-trick hero Nick Wright sealed their third straight win in stoppage time.

Substitute Wright replaced winger David Hankin just after the hour with Harriers trailing Newport County 2-0 at Aggborough yesterday afternoon.

They were behind after just 10 seconds of the match to Jake Reid's goal, before former Harrier Sam Foley scored against his former club.

But striker Wright helped himself to three goals in the last 10 minutes - the last two in stoppage time - to dramatically turn the tables on the visitors.

His 96th winner followed on from Luke Jones' stoppage time clincher at Southport on Saturday, which hoisted Harriers back into the play-off places.

Ryan Rowe also struck after the allotted 90 minutes to give Burr's men victory at Grimsby the previous week, with both Left trailing in their wake.

A top five finish is Harriers' to lose - with doomed Kettering next up at home on Saturday - and Burr admits it's been an "incredible" turn of events.

He said: "It just goes to show the lads never know when we are beaten.

"It's indescribable really - the last 15 minutes yesterday was incredible and I have never experienced that.

"To be 2-0 down and get the win like that was fantastic, but their first goal was probably the quickest goal ever.

"We were really disappointed with that, it really knocked us for six and we never recovered all that well.

"I was pleased we got in at 2-0 down and, in the second-half, we were virtually camped in their half.

"Towards the end, you have to throw caution to the wind when yo are losing, especially when we are in the situation we are in.

"It was fantastic to get the win."
