Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr today called for a "big effort" to overcome Grimsby and take a stride back towards a play-off place.

Harriers go to Blundell Park with the two teams neck-and-neck in the Blue Square Premier, the hosts a place ahead in seventh on goal difference.

The two engaged in a thrilling 3-3 draw in the same fixture last season last April, a month after Grimsby tried to take Burr to be their new manager.

Rob Scott and Paul Hurst instead came in as joint bosses and the winner of tomorrow's contest could pull level on points with the play-off contenders.

Burr has no new injury worries and is still without Michael Briscoe, who has an back complant, while Tom Sharpe and Danny Lewis are out long-term.

And the Harriers boss can look up again after a three-game unbeaten streak, which ended a run of one win from their previous nine matches.

He said: "The win we picked up against Darlington last Saturday put us right back in there.

"We haven't had the best of Februarys with the points we would like to have picked up and March also.

"But we have got ourselves back on a little run of being undefeated now and we just need a big effort with these last remaining games.

"It's always tough at Grimsby and we had a thrilling game there last season.

"I watched them at Tamworth on Tuesday night and they have a lot of experience in the side.

"But I honestly believe that, if we are right, we can go there and get three points tomorrow."
