Kidderminster Harriers today ruled out striker Jamille Matt for their Blue Square Premier clash at home to league leaders Fleetwood.

The highly-rated hitman has given leave by the club to deal with "personal issues" and his absence for an "extended period" goes past tonight's clash.

Matt had missed the last game with a back injury, in any case, so Anthony Malbon and Ryan Rowe are in pole position to start as a front two.

Harriers also faced an anxious wait today on Lee Hendrie and Kyle Storer, as they check on the fitness of the midfield duo.

Former Villa and England man Hendrie has taken a knock in training, while Storer has missed training time this week with the flu.

But Mickey Demetriou could return after four games out with a shoulder injury and may go straight back into the team, in one of the full-back spots.

Tom Marshall will go into the squad after his loan recall from Brackley, as Michael Briscoe is on the sidelines with a back problem.

First meets seventh tonight for a game live on Premier Sports, with Harriers four points off the play-offs and keen to make up for lost ground.

Manager Steve Burr said: "We really need to get back to putting points on the board.

"It's been disappointing over the last few home games, where we have not picked up the points we would have liked to.

"But I feel we have been playing reasonably well in those games and maybe lady luck has deserted us a little bit.

"I always want to see the team play well and win, but it's now more now really about getting the points."
