Kidderminster Harriers defender Tom Marshall was today back at Aggborough after his loan spell at Brackley was cut short by an injury crisis.

Marshall could now even be pitched in to play at home to Fleetwood on Friday night after his recall, in his second month away from the club.

Harriers boss Steve Burr acted after Michael Briscoe was hurt in Saturday's home defeat to Barrow, with a back problem that has made him a doubt.

With Tom Sharpe on the long-term injury list, Burr was left with just Luke Jones as his only recognised centre-half so has called Marshall back.

The 24-year-old has been playing regularly for the Evo-Stik Southern Premier League leaders, who extended his loan last month.

But Marshall could now figure in Friday night's Blue Square Premier clash, which is being screened live on Premier Sports.

Burr said: "Tom's had a very successful spell at Brackley on loan.

"He's gone out and got some games himself, but has also helped them to the top of the table with his performances.

"He comes back to us now with the opportunity to stake a claim and earn himself something for next season.

"He has continued to work very hard in training with us and you can see that, with games, he has become a lot fitter."
