Harriers duo are unlikely to be risked
Kidderminster Harriers are unlikely to risk Jamille Matt and Mickey Demetriou for the Blue Square Premier visit of Barrow to Aggborough.
Kidderminster Harriers are unlikely to risk Jamille Matt and Mickey Demetriou for the Blue Square Premier visit of Barrow to Aggborough.
But Harriers will be able to welcome back former Villa and England man Lee Hendrie and his midfield cohort Dan Bradley for tomorrow's game.
Matt and Demetriou are both suffering from the injuries that forced them to pull out of the England C squad at the start of this week.
An immediate vacancy in the starting line-up will be created by the absence of Matt, who had a back injury going into last weekend's game at Bath City.
Demetriou has already missed three games and is still unable to take full contact challenges onto his troublesome shoulder.
But Hendrie and Bradley were set to be passed fit today after coming through a week's training, after hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.
Harriers will be looking to climb back into the play-off places but it's tight at the top of the league, where Barrow sit 10th coming into play.
But they are just five points behind their sixth-placed hosts and Harriers assistant boss Gary Whild is wary of giving the visitors a leg up tomorrow.
He said: "They have had a good season and have had some fantastic results at home.
"They will be tough to beat and they will be coming here tomorrow with one eye on the play-offs themselves.
"So many teams still have a chance, that's why it is going to be so interesting and will probably change every week.
"It will be tight and teams will be pinching points off one another and the entire top 10 or 12 are still in with a shout - there is a lot of football left."
