Kidderminster Harriers were today sweating on the fitness on Callum Gittings and Anthony Malbon for Saturday's Blue Square Premier visit of Lincoln.

The duo went off in last night's Worcestershire Senior Cup semi-final against Evesham at Aggborough, where Harriers won 6-2 after extra time.

Marvin Johnson opened the scoring for the hosts on his debut but Marcus Palmer equalised, before Marc Williams restored the lead after the break.

Palmer restored parity for the Evo-Stik Southern Premier League visitors to take the tie into extra-time, where Johnson scored after three minutes.

The 21-year-old then capped his bow by completing his hat-trick, before strikes fom sub Dan Bradley and Jack Byrne made the scoreline emphatic.

But Harriers were today assessing midfielder Gittings, who received a kick to the shin, and striker Malbon, taken off at half-time with a dead leg.

Manager Steve Burr admitted the game presented a "no-win situation" but took positives from Byrne, back from a knee injury, and Johnson.

Burr said: "It is always a big game for sides who come here, as Evesham did. I thought they did very well and made things very difficult for us.

"All I can ask is for my players to go out and do a thoroughly professional job but it was disappointing for it to go into extra time.

"That said, it was nice to see the goals coming in the extra period - Jack looked very good and it was great to see Marvin get a hat-trick.

"It was a bit of a no-win situation in terms of a game, but the lads went out and did well."
