Kidderminster Harriers today made calls on three players in their squad and allowed striker Luke Medley to leave Aggborough permanently.

Medley has had his contract, which was up at the end of the season, cancelled by mutual consent and is free to find another club.

On-loan winger James McQuilkin has also returned to Football League club Hereford after a month's loan and is not expected back.

Harriers defender Tom Marshall is already out at Evo-Stik Southern Premier League big-spenders Brackley and is set to extend his loan.

Marshall has spent two months with the Saints and, with most bases covered at Aggborough, will be allowed to stay with the league leaders.

Medley had only returned this week from a month's loan with Woking in the Blue Square North, who decided not to extend his deal.

The 22-year-old had a spell at Lincoln, as well, this season after making just seven starts in 13 appearances for Harriers since joining last summer.

McQuilkin heads back to Edgar Street after five games, scoring once, but Harriers boss Steve Burr insists it's no reflection on the player.

Burr said: "It would have been nice to have kept James but, with us bringing a couple in during the transfer window, we have decided to let him go back.

"You can see that he is a quality footballer but, as is the case with loan players, he arrived having not played a lot of games.

"It has been a bit stop-start for him with games being called off, but he goes back having contributed while he was here.

"We will certainly be keeping an eye on things."
