Kidderminster Harriers were today expecting a quiet transfer deadline day as they weighed up the best course of action with injury victim Tom Sharpe.
The last window of opportunity for Harriers to sign players permanently from other clubs is 11pm tonight, but the club may not do any business.
Boss Steve Burr can still add unattached players after the deadline and has the loan window, which opens next Tuesday and runs until March 26.
But it's defender Sharpe who is giving the manager cause for concern, as they await to discover the extend of the damage to his right knee.
Sharpe went off after 34 minutes of Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Stockport, with fears that the 23-year-old has suffered a cruciate ligament injury.
The club are considering sending him for a scan but Sharpe is able to walk unaided and has reported to Aggborough for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Burr has hailed former Villa and England midfielder Lee Hendrie for his "no airs and graces" influence on the team.
Hendrie has made 10 starts for Harriers and was a threat at Stockport, going close twice and setting up the goal for Nick Wright.
The 34-year-old is playing in the Blue Square Premier for the first time and Burr has been delighted with his impact.
He said: "Lee has been great for us and has brought into the club everything we were looking for.
"His experience is key and the way he has fitted in with the lads has been great. He just gives them that bit of encouragement and help.
"With the level he has played at, the lads here have a lot of respect for him.
"There are no airs and graces with Lee, he just loves playing football.
"At this stage of his career, that was my main point to him in coming here - that he would enjoy it with us."
