Kidderminster Harriers could hit third in the Blue Square Premier if they can take all three points at fellow play-off chasers Gateshead.

Steve Burr's men hit the road today to make the long trip to the Tynesiders, who are managed by former Harriers midfielder Ian Bogie.

The Heed could leapfrog their visitors and into the last play-off place but, equally, Harriers could jump two places from fifth.

The form book favours the visitors tonight - Harriers are 11 games unbeaten and haven't lost at Gateshead in the league since 1998.

But Bogie's boys won 3-2 at Aggborough in August's corresponding Blue Square Premier fixture, which gives Burr cause for concern.

He said: "Gateshead started really well but have probably just slipped a bit in the last month.

"We know it is a very difficult place to go. When they came here in August I thought they were one of the best side's we had played.

"But, again, our form is good - particularly away from home, so we will be looking to take that into the game."

Burr has selection posers ahead of the game at the Gateshead International Stadium, after Saturday's win at home to Hayes & Yeading.

Debutant Dan Bradley impressed as a second-half substitute, while Steve Guinan and Nick Wright scored after coming on.

Guinan and Wright both push for a striker's berth while Bradley and Jack Byrne compete with Callum Gittings and James Vincent for midfield spots.
