Kidderminster Harriers striker Marc Williams admits the FA Trophy win over Vauxhall Motors was tempered by the frustration of his own search for a goal.

Williams came close on a number on occasions in last night's 2-0 win but another blank made it his 17th game without getting on the score-sheet.

The 23-year-old has just two goals in 22 appearances this season, the last against Alfreton on September 17, and is on the longest drought of his six-year career.

But the former Wales under-21 international believes he can go on a run when his luck eventually turns but admits luck may have to play it's part.

And Williams has vowed to knuckle down even harder on the training ground until he gets it right.

He said: "I am delighted we have won 2-0 and that we are through to the next round but, as a striker, you are judged on your goals and, once again, it hasn't gone in for me.

"I keep working hard but, a few times, I looked to the heavens and I just need a bit of luck. I get more frustrated because, time and time again, I constantly score goals in training.

"I don't understand what happens, I have maybe just got to add a bit of composure and I will take it to the training ground and work harder.

"Hopefully, if I can get one, then I will go on a run."
