Pitmen agree to Sweeney release
Hednesford Town have pointed the finger at Dan Sweeney’s representatives following the forward’s exit from the club.

Sweeney had been among the Pitmen’s stand-out performers this term but in a statement yesterday confirming his release the club claimed ‘influences from his representatives’ had made the position ‘untenable’.
Posting on Twitter, the 22-year-old wished Hednesford well before adding: “Sometimes you can’t help what goes on behind the scenes.”
The Pitmen have signed midfielder Charlie Ten-Grotenhuis.
