Diego De Girolamo opened the scoring for the visitors in the 36th minute.

The Pitmen created more and more as the game went on – Buxton goalkeeper Theo Roberts making a double save and Lewis Archer striking the post before keeper Josef Bursik advanced up the pitch and played in Michael Howard to snatch the hosts' late leveller.

Chasetown remain winless at home in Northern One West after a 2-0 defeat against play-off-chasing Trafford. Jack Dorney and Aaron Burns netted for the visitors.

Lye Town comfortably saw off a youthful Stafford Rangers side in the Walsall Senior Cup, winning 4-0.

Pitmen boss Rob Smith is set to host a meet-the-manager event at Keys Park, ahead of the game against Bamber Bridge on Saturday, November 3. Supporters will be able to put questions towards Smith and his assistant manager Larry Chambers.

The event will begin at midday and will last for approximately an hour.
