A Simeon Cobourne goal four minutes from time earned Halesowen a point in a thrilling top of the table clash.
Halesowen were down to ten men after Josh Hawker had been given a straight red on 75 minutes.
At that point it was 1-1, Alex Troke giving Ilkeston the lead on 25 minutes with a great finish before Chri Lait equalised on 71 minutes with a clever turn and shot.
Zak Goodson put Ilkeston back in front on 81 after the sending off but Cobourne popped up with the equaliser on 86 minutes in a game seen by over 2,400 fans.
