The Yeltz have instructed solicitors to write to the Southern League requesting further detail on the process which led to the campaign being declared null and void.

They would have finished top had the season been decided on a points-per-game basis, as the Southern League are initially thought to have wanted.

Their letter, submitted last week on behalf of all other Southern League clubs, includes 10 questions on how the decision to expunge all results was reached. The Yeltz are asking for a response from the league by tomorrow, after which they will consider their next move.

The letter states: “The FA has referred to the robust and thorough process that has taken place in coming to the conclusion to immediately terminate the season on a null and void basis and the consultation undertaken with its key stakeholders.

“Your assistance in responding to the above questions will help our client to understand better the process that has taken place.”
