The journey back from Norfolk will have been made all the sweeter for Lewis Wright's 85th minute winner, coming only two minutes after he had entered the field.

Halesowen have had an excellent start to the season but looked up against it on six minutes when a corner was only half cleared and Rhys Logan's blocked cross fell to Thomas Matthews who volleyed home.

Ashley Sammons, who was on form for Halesowen all afternoon, saw a shot saved by Elliot Pride on 19 minutes but two minutes later, hesitation between the goalkeeper and defender Shaun Wones saw Montel Gibson nip in to score.

Robbie Bunn was also lively for Halesowen, and went close twice before the break.

The driving wind changed to rain in the second half as Halesowen forced a series of corners, Bunn and Luke Yates going close.

But it took two of the substitute to combine for the winner, Josh Hawker setting up Wright neatly with five minutes left to net the winner.

Halesowen's league cup tie at Evesham tonight (Monday) has been postponed ahead of the FA Cup tie on Saturday, but the youth team travel to Romulus.
