Royston started better but Halesowen came closest early on when Tobias Hayles-Docherty hit the post on 15 minutes.

Lee Hughes just failed to connect with a cross on 20 but then eight minutes later was sent off for an innocuous looking challenge.

Royston started to get on top in the second half against the ten men, with Cameron Gregory having to make a number of good saves but the home side were also reduced to ten on the hour when Adam Murray tangled with Yeltz substitute Tom Warmer and was shown a red.

Gregory continued to impress in goal but Halesowen could have won it five minutes from time when substitute Aaron Gilpin played in Ravin Shamsi but he couldn't quite finish.
