Halesowen Town takeover formally completed by directors
Directors Karen Brookes and Keith McKenna have formally completed their takeover of Halesowen Town.
The club was sold by the Lynch family to club president Colin Brookes for £50,000 in June, bringing to an end months of uncertainty surrounding the 145-year-old club, who were brought to the brink after ex-owner Steve Lynch was hit with a two-year ban by the FA.
And it has now been passed on to Colin’s daughter Karen and McKenna.
Colin thanked the duo for their financial input and hard work over the past few months and paid tribute to the hard-working committee.
He also thanked all the fans for their support and for donating almost £14,000 to provide ‘a kick-start’ for Southern Central club Halesowen this season.
Colin now hopes the directors can ‘make Halesowen Town Football Club one to be proud of once more’.
