Former West Brom midfielder Richard Sneekes joins Halesowen Town
Former Albion midfielder Richard Sneekes has taken up the role of first-team coach at Halesowen Town.
The Yeltz have bolstered their backroom staff as Kieron Jackson moves aside.
Amsterdam-born Sneekes became a cult figure at Albion after joining from Bolton Wanderers in 1996 and went on to appear more than 250 times for the Baggies, scoring 34 goals. Sneekes has previous coaching experience as an assistant academy coach at Tamworth before moving up to then league two side Hereford United as first team coach. His first management experience came at Rushall Olympic as first-team manager before taking a similar role at Sutton Colefield.
Halesowen manager John Hill said: “We are delighted to have such an experienced and respected person as Richard on board, it can only serve to enhance our chances of improving our performances and results.”
