The Yeltz - who remain bottom - were desperate for a confidence boost after a 5-1 home defeat on Saturday and started well, Jack Kelly looking dangerous early on as he put some good balls forward.

They continued to press and Danny Bragoli thought he had found space when set up by Daniel Udoh on eight minutes but he was offside.

Udon played Oliver Finney in on 21 minutes but his shot hit the side netting and then Halesowen goalkeeper Daniel Platt was twice called into action to make good saves in quick succession.

On 37 minutes though Barwell were down to ten men when Declan Towers received a straight red for a foul on Halesowen defender Kalern Thomas.

Playing against ten men, Halesowen pressed again after the break and Kelly saw a shot well saved by goalkeeper Liam Castle.

But hesitation in the visiting defence lead to Kyle Perry running through on 58 minutes and slotting the ball home to make it 1-0 to the home side.

The Yeltz battled on and captain Danny Bragoli headed just over on 66 minutes from a corner.

But Kelly got the goal his efforts deserved with an excellent direct free kick which flew into the top corner.

Ten minutes from time, the numbers were even when Alexander Woodhouse was sent off for Halesowen for a second bookable offence but neither side could force a winner.
