Halesowen dropped to the bottom of the Evo-Stik Premier table after being outplayed by second-placed Witton Albion.

Once again Halesowen fell behind to early goals as Albion went 2-0 up within 19 minutes in a great display of football from the in-form visitors.

Lively Witton wide-man Matty Devine caused all sorts of problems with his probing runs and he danced through the home defence and although his 16th minute shot was blocked, Will Jones slotted home the rebound with ease.

It was soon 2-0 just three minutes later when Steven Tames smashed home a penalty after Asa Charlton was penalised for handball.

The hosts posed little threat up front and were cut up again in the 34th minute, only for Dan Platt to make a fantastic reflex save from Tames at the end of a lightning attack.

Full-back Jack Kelly pulled a goal back for Halesowen by firing home after Witton failed to clear a 59th minute corner but Albion continued to be superior as they hit the crossbar after 62 minutes and went close again in the 85th minute when Jones struck wide following good work from Prince Haywood.

Albion then deservedly wrapped up the points in the 89th minute after Platt failed to gather a left-wing corner, leaving Haywood to follow up from 12 yards.
