Blackwell, a football physio for three decades, recently ended his eight year spell at Keys Park to re-join the Yeltz, where he served across 15 years in the 1980s and 1990s.

He teams up with John Hill’s Halesowen from league rivals Hednesford. Blackwell’s previous clubs also include Oldbury United, Tividale, Stourbridge and the Wolves academy.

He said: “I’m delighted to be back. Halesowen Town is a club close to me heart both as a supporter and having worked for them previously.

“I can’t wait for the season to start and experience the unique atmosphere of The Grove on match day.”

Meanwhile, the Pitmen have replaced Blackwell with former Rushall Olympic physio Eve Littler.

Littler, who previously worked at Burton Albion, joins the new staff at Keys Park including boss Neil Tooth. She said: “I’m really happy to have joined Hednesford Town and I’m excited for the new challenge that lies ahead.”
