The hosts took the lead in the 26th minute when they won a penalty and Alex Troke sent Curtis Pond the wrong way from 12 yards.

It was a feisty affair at times with plenty at stake, but clearcut chances were of a premium at either end.

Bedworth doubled their lead fifteen minutes from time when a corner ricocheted through the visitors defence and Jamie McAteer stabbed the ball home.

Chasetown struggled to find a way back into the game with a solitary Will Whieldon effort late on the only shot the Scholars registered on target.
