A quiet first half sprang to life towards the end. In the 39th minute George Cater forced the first save from James Martin with a volley from around the penalty spot.

Chasetown thought they had taken the lead in the 41st minute. Danny Cocks twisted and turned inside the box and drilled past Martin only for the assistant to controversially adjudge a Scholars player in an offside position.

Finally the opening goal came 10 minutes into the second half. Superb work from Cater opened up the home defence and Jake Lovatt dived in to head home the cutback.

Dynamo were reduced to ten men when former Scholar Louis Keenan was sent off for a second yellow card for a foul on scorer Lovatt.

The hosts levelled when they were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box and Daniel Gordon curled a low set piece past Curtis Pond.

Chasetown were the stronger side as the Leicestershire side time wasted to protect the point. The Scholars couldn't find a way through until stoppage time and when Martin spilled a shot Lovatt fired in the winner.
