Chasetown 0 Loughborough Dynamo 0 - Report
Chasetown saw their clash with Loughborough end even, as neither side could break the deadlock in a 0-0 draw.
Chasetown almost took the lead after 20 minutes. Jake Lovatt capitalised on an under hit backpass and got beyond Will Jaaskelainen but could only fire into the side netting from a tight angle.
Lovatt went even closer five minutes later with a right foot shot that Jaaskelainen flicked onto the post with his foot.
Loughborough’s best chances came from set pieces.
Edilson Antonio fired high over the bar and Karl Demidh curled one wide.
The home side started the second half on the front foot with Will Whieldon heading a Ryan Wynter cross inches wide of the angle of post and crossbar.
Dynamo squandered a great chance to break the deadlock with a chance for Demidh that he scooped over from close range.
Another Demidh free kick then forced Curtis Pond into a low save at his near post.
Whieldon struck the Dynamo woodwork for a second time as his corner kick hit the post.
Whieldon’s next corner saw Wynter hit the crossbar with a header.
Five minutes from time it was Dynamo’s turn to hit the frame of the goal as Alistair Smith beat Pond but was denied by the post.
