Kidderminster win again as Rushall Olympic remain in deep trouble
Kidderminster Harriers won their fourth National League North match in a row – all without conceding.
Harriers have bounced back from their 4-0 defeat at King’s Lynn Town a month ago to thrust themselves into the thick of the title race, briefly going top of the table before the 3pm kick-offs yesterday afternoon.
Zak Brown’s fine strike from outside the penalty area gave Kidderminster a 15th-minute lead before Tope Obadeyi lobbed the Hereford goalkeeper midway through the second half to make it 2-0.
Ashley Hemmings almost added a third late on, but his shot came back off the post. However, Amari Morgan-Smith did seal the result in front of 4,925 fans at Edgar Street.
Rushall Olympic remain deep in trouble at the other end of the table, despite taking a first-half lead against Oxford City.
Laiith Fairnie tapped the Pics in front just before half-time amid claims of a foul on the goalkeeper.
But Oxford hauled themselves level in the 67th minute through Lewis Coyle and then won it with a minute to spare to take all three points back down the A34.
