Wulfs have tasted defeat just once in nine Midland League outings, but have been held to draws in five others.

They head to Coventry United tomorrow and Goodall is hoping the goals will soon start to flow.

“We are playing well and the players are giving me everything. We are defending well as a team and we are creating chances, but we are not finishing teams off,” said Goddall, whose side are unbeaten in seven games.

“We really should have won four of those five draws and that’s an extra eight points you are talking about.

“We have got some good players here, the lads that play up front, James Spray, Jack Till, Aaron Bishop and Dom Dell are good technical players.

“I believe in my players and I have told them to believe in themselves. We just need to be a bit more committed in front of goal.”

Goodall’s men face a tough task tomorrow against a Coventry side expected to be pushing for the title, but he is relishing the challenge.

“Coventry are a good side, but we are playing well and on our day we can beat any side in this division,” he added.

In the West Midlands League Premier Division, Dudley Town will be hoping to finally taste some action at home to Wolves Sporting.

The Robins have played just two league games – both of which were won – and have been hit by postponements due to Covid issues within opposition camps in their last two scheduled games.

Wolves Casuals travel to Shifnal while Wednesfield host Darlaston Town. Smethwick Rangers are away to Littleton.
