Rangers had been scheduled to host Bewdley Town tonight in their first home match of the campaign, but it was cancelled when news of Younis’s positive test emerged yesterday afternoon.

Saturday’s home fixture with Pershore Town and next Tuesday’s trip to Cradley are also off.

News of Younis’ positive test came less than 48 hours after Rangers had made it two league wins from two with a 4-1 victory at Wem Town.

Trailing 1-0 at half-time, the visitors fought back to eventually claim a comfortable victory thanks to second-half goals from Callum Nimmo, Jordan Flattley, Alex Hammond and Troy Wallen.

Younis’s test result could have a knock on effect for Bilston Town, who must now wait to discover whether their home match against Wem, scheduled for Saturday, will go ahead as planned.

Dean Gill’s team sit second in the table after making it four wins from five matches with a hard-fought 2-0 win at AFC Bridgnorth last weekend.

After Kieron Miller had missed an early penalty, Leon Taylor fired Bilston ahead late in the first half.

The goalscorer then turned provider to set up Matt Pinder for the visitors second of the game, 10 minutes from time.

“We had four or five good chances to score but ultimately we have to be pleased with what was a very decent win,” said Gill.

“Bridgnorth made it very difficult for us and we had to work really hard. It has been a good start to the season. If Saturday’s match against Wem goes ahead as scheduled and we can make it five wins from six it will be even better.”

Dudley Sports were the Premier Division’s big winners of the weekend, notching their first league victory of the campaign with a thumping 6-0 success over tenants Smethwick Rangers.

Dominic Latham bagged a brace for Sports, while Mitchell Evans, Mathew Vaughan, Nicky Turton and James Weaver were also on target.

Wolverhampton Sporting were almost as prolific, thumping five without reply past Darlaston Town but there was disappointment for Cradley Town, who were beaten 2-1 at Worcester Raiders, while Wolves Casuals lost 2-0 at Pershore.
